Air India Express is a subsidiary of the Indian flag carrier airline Air India. In an announcement on Wednesday, Air India Express said that they have opened the bookings for Doha-India flights. They added bookings for these flights can be done from their website or from any registered Travel Agent in Qatar. These flights India Express flights are being run under Vande Bharat Mission. Any Indian citizen who is stranded in Qatar can book a flight ticket with the airline to return home. Along with booking tickets, passengers can also purchase prepaid excess baggage. The airline will start its repatriation operations from Doha on August 1.
Vande Bharat Mission From Doha By Air India Express
Air India Express took on Twitter to announce its Vande Bharat Mission operations on July 29. “Waiting for flight services from Doha? We’ve got you covered. Bookings are open for Doha-India. Experience safe journey with Air India Express,” said the tweet. The airline will operate from Doha to Kozhikode, Trichy, Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur and Delhi. The Doha – Delhi flight will operate via Jaipur.
Any Indian citizen who is registered on the website of Embassy of India, Doha can book tickets from Doha to India. The person also has to fulfil certain entry conditions for booking tickets.
Qatar Citizens Will be Able to Fly Back From India
In the announcement from the airline, it was mentioned that Qatar Nationals can travel to Qatar from India. Qatar’s permanent residency holders wanting to return can also travel to Qatar from Air India Express. The traveller will have to get a return permit from Qatar Portal in order to book tickets.
The Qatar government announced some must-haves for Qatar citizens who are willing to travel to Qatar. Qatar government announced these must-haves looking at the safety measures of the passengers. The traveller has to install EHTERAZ app in their phone. The traveller has to book a quarantined hotel for a week before reaching Qatar. Quarantine hotel can be booked through “Discover Qatar”. Passengers should have a negative COVID-19 test report from less than 48 hours from departure. If not, the passenger can also take the PCR test upon reaching Qatar.
