AirAsia Bags Low-Cost Carrier Awards at World Travel Awards for Seventh Consecutive Time

As a milestone in customer service, Malaysian low-cost airline AirAsia bagged the best low-cost carrier at the World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania 2019, which happened in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, for the seventh time in a row. The award witnessed the participation from regional counterparts Scoot, Jetstar, SpiceJet, Nok Air, and Firefly, and Air-Asia emerged ahead of everyone to bag Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline and Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew.

Commenting on this new achievement CEO of Malaysian low-cost airline Riad Asmat said, "Being recognized by guests and industry colleagues as Asia's best is a testament to our ongoing efforts to develop new and innovative guest-obsessed products and services.

He also thanked award-winning cabin crew "for their hard work and commitment to delivering and providing the best experience to their guests." To uprear the achievement Riad Asmat was present at the award's ceremony to reap the awards, and in an official statement on October 13, he also quoted, "It is an honour to receive these awards."

World Travel Awards founder Graham E Cooke congratulated AirAsia on their continuous hard work and dedication to create a benchmark for low-cost aviation in Asia.

He also noted that "Its dedication to improving its services remains unrivalled, and he is delighted that it has been acknowledged by both the travel trade and the public as 'Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline 2019' and 'Asia's Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew 2019'."

Appreciating the presence of world travel awards, Air Asia said, "World Travel Awards are one of the most prestigious awards programs in the global tourism industry.
