AirAsia India kickstarted a new sale on its website just a few days back, but now the airline has again made it to the headlines because it has announced new routes in India. According to a PTI report, AirAsia India is going to launch services to Goa and Chennai from Mumbai and these flights would start on October 27. Not only this, but the airline has also increased the frequency for its New Delhi-Mumbai flight. Now AirAsia India will service this route four times daily. AirAsia India CEO, Sanjay Kumar also said that it has started direct flights to Goa and Chennai from Mumbai.
AirAsia India Aims for Better Connectivity With Mumbai
Considering the air traffic that passes from Mumbai, the airport is a major destination for the airline. That is why, it is important for AirAsia India that it establish better connectivity of Mumbai with other airports. It is worth noting that AirAsia India is going to launch new flights on October 20, 2019 on from Agartala to destinations like Guwahati, Imphal, Kolkata and New Delhi. The fares on this route will start at Rs 1,019. Another Delhi-Jaipur route for AirAsia India will also be live starting October 20, 2019. The flight from Delhi will depart at 10.35 AM and arrive in Jaipur airport at 11.45 AM. Whereas, the return flight will be at 12.15 PM from Jaipur and it will arrive at 1.25 PM at Delhi airport.
Airline Shifts Operations to Mumbai T1
Also, it is worth noting that only a few days back, AirAsia had announced the shifting of its operations to the domestic terminal (T1) of Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport from October 15, 2019 from the present T2 terminal.
