AirAsia India has received the nod for operating its first international flight very soon. This comes after eight years of the airline being in the Indian market. Earlier this month, the low-cost carrier got permission to operate an international flight. AirAsia India is a joint venture between AirAsia Berhad of Malaysia and the Tata Group.

AirAsia India will operate an international cargo flight on the Kochi-Dubai-Kochi route. Now, the Tata Group owns one more airline that can operate international flights. Under the Tata Group, all the airlines including AirAsia India, Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara operate international flights to different destinations of the world.

Air India was a recent acquisition by the Tata Group. With such an extensive portfolio of airlines, the Tata Group will certainly have to come up with a way to ensure that each of the airlines is getting the best amount of attention from the market and making money.
