Alliance Air to Recommence Services on the Delhi Shimla Route

Last month, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Alliance Air announced the recommencement of services on the Delhi - Shimla - Delhi route from 6th September 2022. We covered the complete details in our story 'Alliance Air Announces Recommencing of Services on the Delhi Shimla Route', but the service couldn't take off on the said date due to bad weather conditions.

Passengers were offered a full refund or reschedule for free as the service cancellation is beyond the control. Now, Alliance Air is all geared up to recommence the service again. Read to know the revised schedule.

The Flight 9I 821 will depart from Delhi at 07:10 and arrive in Shimla at 08:20. Flight 9I 822 will depart from Shimla at 08:50 and arrive in Delhi at 10:00.

Tickets are open for booking on Alliance Air website, and the introductory all-inclusive fare of the Delhi-Shimla, Shimla-Delhi flight ticket is Rs 2,141.

Shimla is the capital and the largest city of Himachal Pradesh. The main Shimla lies on the top of seven hills - Jakhu Hill, Bantony Hill, Inveram Hill, Observatory Hill, Prospect Hill, Summer Hill and Elysium Hill.

With this recommencement, the airline will expand its network in Himachal Pradesh so that passengers can fly Delhi-Shimla-Delhi daily. The ATR 42-600 aircraft will be able to operate on the short runways of the Shimla and Kullu airports, both located at high altitudes and exposed to high temperatures, and the airline will be able to progress with its vision of connecting New India.
