American Airlines is the world's largest airline when measured by scheduled passengers carried. The airline has added a new free service for its passengers. A spokesperson from American Airlines said the airline has collaborated with Apple. The collaboration between the two giants has happened to provide free Apple TV+ streaming to passengers. The agreement was an outcome of American Airlines reaching to Apple for the same. Any passenger who has access to the internet in their electronic device can use the service while in flight. The airline has made it clear that the service is for free and the passengers do not have to pay for the internet as well.
Access Apple TV+ With Any Wi-Fi Capable Device While Onboard an American Airlines Flight
To access the service, passengers have to use the AA app in their mobile or tablet. For passengers using a laptop, they can visit aainflight.com to stream Apple TV+. Also, the flights like Boeing 787-9 have TVs installed. Passengers travelling from such flights can watch Apple TV+ shows in the pre-installed TVs. Although, not all the American Airlines flights have TVs installed. Most of the planes have power outlets and USB ports, in case any passenger wants to charge their device. The airline is also planning on installing power outlets and USB ports in their other flights. The Apple TV+ plan is available for American Airlines passengers.
American Airlines and Apple had earlier partnered in February 2019, offering free Apple Music streaming during the flight. Although, the passenger should have Apple Music subscription. But passengers can have WiFi access for free. Even though the passengers need to have a subscription to stream Apple Music, the Apple TV+ streaming is completely free.
The shows currently available to watch on Apple TV+ during the flight are The Morning Show, Defending Jacob, Dickinson, For All Mankind, Ghostwriter, Helpsters, Home Before Dark, Little America, Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet, Oprah's Book Club and Snoopy in Space. There will be more shows added on inflight Apple TV+. For passengers who already have a subscription and have downloaded the shows before boarding can have access to any content available on the platform. To check the contents available inflight, passengers can visit the entertainment page of American Airlines and submit their details. Apart from Apple TV+, passengers also have access to pre-loaded movies and TV shows on American Airlines.
