Azerbaijan Airlines, also known as AZAL, is the flag carrier and largest airline in Azerbaijan. In July 2022, AZAL announced the start of ticket sales for flights to New Delhi from Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The first direct flight from Baku to New Delhi commenced on Tuesday, i.e. on 9 August 2022.
The start of a direct flight from Azerbaijan to India adds another beautiful feather to the cap of New Delhi Airport and also mark a direct connect between two colourful cultures.

According to the schedule, the frequency of flights will be twice a week: flights from Baku to New Delhi will be operated on Tuesdays and Fridays and from New Delhi to Baku - on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Baku - New Delhi - Baku route is operated on an Airbus A320, and the travel duration is 4 hours and 5 minutes.
Tickets for these flights can be booked on the official website of the Airline as well as via other booking channels. The ticket price includes a free baggage allowance (up to 23 kg in economy class and up to 32 kg in business class), as well as a full range of cold and hot meals.
AZAL informed that the airline performs the flight program en route Baku - New Delhi - Baku in partnership with Zeal Global Group.
