Brazil permits
The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa, in Portuguese) has eased the sanitary requirements for airports and aircraft, allowing onboard service to resume.

Brazil is proposing to loosen certain sanitary safeguards after more than two years of tight travel restrictions because to the COVID-19 outbreak. This will have a direct impact on passengers' flying experiences across the country, and Azul, GOL, and LATAM should be pleased.

Anvisa adopted a revision to Resolution 456/2020 on Thursday, allowing onboard service on commercial flights to resume on May 22.

Nonetheless, Anvisa advises that in-flight services be kept as brief as possible to avoid obstructing travellers' usage of face masks.

Alex Campos, Anvisa’s head, said, “The measures need to be gradual; the risks need to be continuously evaluated and weighed. The layers of protection aim to allow the monitoring of the benefits brought by new measures implemented and any associated risks."

Following Anvisa's announcement, LATAM Brasil released a statement applauding the move to offer in-flight service. LATAM said it will provide further information on the reinstatement of this service on all of its flights in the near future. According to Cirium data, LATAM currently runs 3,870 flights from Brazil, with 96 percent of them being domestic flights.

Despite the relaxation of the limits, Anvisa's modification retains a high level of contagious prevention measures in confined places.

The usage of face masks will be the most significant restriction. Unlike in other nations (such as the United States), passengers on Brazilian aircraft will be required to wear a mask unless they are eating.
