Defence Ministry to Lease Land to Pune Airport for Expanding Its Cargo Terminal
The Ministry of Defence will lease 2.5 acres of land to Pune International airport to construct a cargo terminal. It will charge one rupee per annum as a lease amount for the land.
Highlights:
- The Indian Air Force (IAF) had agreed to deliver additional land to Lohegaon airport.
- Pune airport is a centre for stocks of Covid shield vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.
- Mahratta Chamber of Commerce welcomes the decision.
