Covid-19 has been disrupting the entire aviation industry. As per analysts and experts, the Indian aviation market might drop around 50 %, and this might affect the significant carriers of India such as IndiGo, SpiceJet, GoAir and many more. To ensure maximum safety from the deadly virus, GoAir has enhanced its cleaning procedures to make sure that its customers and employees are safe in the entire journey. Similarly, the second-largest carrier of India, SpiceJet is also cleaning their aircraft at night. GoAir is one of the most lovable carriers of Indian aviation. In order to ensure a safer travel experience and comfortable journey, the airline is taking all the preventive measures to fight back from the deadly virus. From aircraft cleaning to airport premises, GoAir is covering evert essential places where the virus could target people. Here are all the details you need to know about the enhanced cleaning procedures opted by GoAir to ensure maximum safety from Covid-19.

Enhanced Aircraft Cleaning

GoAir has enhanced its aircraft cleaning procedures as an immediate effect from March 7, 2020. GoAir is approximately investing 6 to 7 hours every day in cleaning single aircraft. Not only this, but the carrier is also using the hospital-grade disinfectant throughout the aircraft which will deeply clean the areas in the plane like cabins, elements of flight deck and lavatories. To ensure the maximum safety, GoAir has also equipped its aircraft with High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter, which would filter out the air on-board plane which will further remove airborne particles.

Enhanced Airport Premises Cleaning

Airport premises are also one of the most important areas where customers are prone to the deadly virus. GoAir has marked that touch screen panels installed at the airports are used by customers on a regular basis. To ensure safety, GoAir is disinfecting the touch screens. Not only this, but the carrier is also disinfecting the boarding gates and all the check-in counters to make sure passengers have a safe passage towards the aircraft.

GoAir Office Premises Enhanced Cleaning

GoAir is also taking preventive measures for the entire working staff and premises. To ensure safety from Covid-19, all the employees are equipped with disinfectants, sanitizers, gloves, masks and all the other protective equipment, especially for employees who are in direct contact with customers. Also, the carrier is following the guidelines which have been mentioned by WHO related to the preventive measures of the deadly coronavirus.

Flexible Policies and Analysing Situations Closely

Apart from this, Vinay Dubey, who is the CEO of GoAir, has marked that the carrier is allowing the customers to reschedule their flight tickets without any penalty payment. However, customers must note that the fare differences will be applicable. Also, GoAir is extending its policies in new bookings as well by allowing the customers to change their reservations without any penalty fees. GoAir has noted that these policies have been specially designed for customers to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free journey amidst the outbreak of the deadly virus. Lastly, GoAir has stated that they are closing working with the government officials, health organisations and other health agencies to ensure maximum safety from the Covid-19. Also, the carrier has developed a bunch of resources which will update the customers. GoAir will update the customers in its official website along with their social media platforms as the situation will evolve. If the customers want to know more about the enhanced cleaning procedures, they can visit the carrier’s official website and read more about the statements made by the Vinay Dubey, who is the CEO of GoAir.
