Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in collaboration, with Delhi International Airport Limited has set up check-in counters for GoAir, SpiceJet and AirAsia airlines. Until now, the Delhi Metro Station allowed travellers of Air India and Vistara to check-in, but now, three more airline check-in counters have been added as well. For the unaware, there's a check-in facility at the Delhi Metro’s New Delhi station which allows the outbound passengers of airlines to quickly check-in, removing the hassle for them to check-in directly at the airport where several passengers will check-in.

New Delhi Metro Station Offers Check-In Facility

On November 18, 2019, check-in counters for three more airlines- AirAsia, GoAir and SpiceJet was set up at the metro station near Delhi’s IGI Airport’s Terminal 3 (T3). While GoAir's new check-in counter is for international flights, AirAsia and SpiceJet domestic travellers can check-in at these counters. That said, the check-in facility is available at the entrance of the New Delhi station of the Airport Express Line.

With the new check-in counters, passengers of five airlines including Air India and Vistara can opt for the check-in service. Do make a note that these check-in counters will be useful for the passengers travelling out from IGI Airport Terminal 3 itself. Passengers from other Terminals (for example Terminal 2) will not be able to check-in from this metro station.

How to Check-In at New Delhi Airport Express Line Stations?

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started providing these check-in counters earlier this year to avoid the hassle for travellers. To avail the service, travellers from Delhi Airport T3 can check-in for flights at New Delhi Airport Express Line stations between two hours to 12 hours of departure.

Similar to the standard check-in counters available at the Airport or Delhi IGI Terminal 3, the check-in facility will be closed before two hours of flight departure. The checked-in baggage of the flyers will be transferred to Delhi Terminal 3 via a secured baggage handling system (BHS).
