New International Destinations Announced
The airline in a recent press release announced that they are going to be launching new international routes. The new routes on which IndiGo flights will operate will be Bengaluru-Jeddah and Mumbai-Kathmandu. The carrier has noted that they will operate daily flights to Jeddah and Kathmandu. IndiGo also marked that flights on these routes will start from March 29 and June 25 respectively. In its efforts to expand internationally, the airline had also announced that they would be starting a new Chennai-Colombo route as well this year later on March 1.
IndiGo Plans To Promote Trade and Tourism
IndiGo tries to provide maximum benefit to its customers. But at the same time, they are also looking to help the countries they are operating indirectly. In a recent interview, IndiGo's Chief Commercial Officer William Boulter noted that "IndiGo is trying to help the countries where they are operating by helping them to increase their trade and tourism by connecting them with some of the most prominent metro cities of India and the launch of this new route will show significant growth in the trade and tourism. He also mentioned that the start of the Nepal route would increase the channelised traffic of both India and Nepal, which will help both the countries economically and bring new opportunities."
