IndiGo operates flights to multiple destinations across India. Earlier when the government asked the airlines to shut down their operations temporarily because of lockdown, IndiGo had to stop all of its flight services completely. It included the Mysore-Hyderabad flight. When the domestic flights were resumed after a break of two months; on May 25, 2020, airlines were only allowed to operate a small number of flights. Thus IndiGo couldn’t provide its passengers with flight services in each of its routes and focused only on metro cities which showed high demand for air travel. But now, the airline has resumed its Mysore-Hyderabad flight — more details on the story ahead.
IndiGo Mysore-Hyderabad Flight Operating Now
After a long wait, India’s largest low-cost airline, IndiGo has finally resumed its flight services for Mysore-Hyderabad. The two flights which will fly in the route are ‘6E 7955’ and ‘6E 7956’. The route was resumed by the airline just yesterday.
The first flight of the day, 6E 7955 departed from the Hyderabad airport at 8:35 AM and arrived at Mysore airport at 10:25 AM. The return flight 6E 7956 departed from the Mysore airport at 10:50 AM and reached Hyderabad airport at 12:50 PM.
R Manjunath, the director of Mysore airport, said that 54 passengers boarded the flight to land at Mysore and 42 passengers boarded the return flight to Hyderabad. He said that this is a good and positive response to the resumption of the flight service.
Manjunath further added that this flight service is under the government's UDAN scheme and will operate daily. Alliance Air rivals indiGo in this route. However, the timings of the Alliance Air flights are completely different.
While IndiGo operates its flights in the first half of the day, Alliance Air operates in the second half. The first flight of Alliance Air departs from Hyderabad at 2:35 PM and arrives Mysore at 3:30 PM. The return flight from Mysore takes off at 8 PM and reaches Hyderabad at 10 PM.
It is worth noting that Mysore airport now has 16 different flight movements and is connected with cities such as Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Kochi, Goa, and Belagavi.
