IndiGo Announces New Flight from Delhi to Istanbul, Bookings With Promotional Fare of Rs 23,999 On Now

IndiGo, the low-cost carrier, which is owned by InterGlobe aviation is one of the most prominent players in the Indian aviation market. The airline boasts of having a fleet of more than 200 planes which include the Airbus A320neos and Airbus A321s as well. The carrier, in its bid to increase its international network and reach, has signed a mutual codeshare agreement with the Turkish Airlines which would expand IndiGo’s reach into Turkey and would do the same for Turkish airlines as well in India. In its latest move, IndiGo has announced Istanbul as its 16th international destination and the carrier has also announced that it would start operating its first flight to Istanbul effective March 20, 2019, using the Airbus A321 aircraft.

IndiGo has also charted out the schedule of this new flight and has noted in its release that the daily flight from Delhi to Istanbul, 6E 0011, would be effective starting March 20, 2019. The flight would depart from Delhi at 13:40 and would reach Istanbul at 18:10. IndiGo has also opened the bookings for this route with immediate effect with a starting promotional fare of Rs 23,999. Likewise, the return daily flight from Istanbul to Delhi, 6E 0012, will depart from Istanbul at 19:45 and it would reach Delhi at 04:15. This flight would be effective starting March 20, 2019, as well and the fare for this journey is also the same i.e. Rs 23,999.

On the occasion of the launch of this new route, IndiGo Chief Commercial Officer, Mr Willian Boulter said, “We are delighted to announce Istanbul as our 16th international destination effective March 2019. It is our privilege to be the first Indian carrier to fly into Turkey. Istanbul is one the most attractive tourist cities in the world and the gateway from Asia into Europe. Istanbul holds immense potential for IndiGo, and this launch is part of organic expansion within Europe for us, as we complement our domestic network with international connectivity.” The executive further added, “IndiGo has completed 12 years of successful operations in the India market as a low-cost carrier, and adding Istanbul to its network will further augment the international connectivity that we provide to our customers. IndiGo will continue to expand its network to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers wherever they demand it. It is our constant endeavour to provide more flexibility of choice to our customers as IndiGo continues to offer them on-time, courteous and hassle-free service, and an affordable flying experience always.”
