Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 Gets Unique ‘Genie’ Food Ordering Service

A unique ‘Food Genie’ service has been launched at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3. As the name itself suggests, it’s a food delivery service and it has been launched by aerodrome operator Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) at only Terminal 3 in the capital city. This service allows the passengers to order food at kiosks and the best part is the food being getting delivered at the boarding gates. This virtually removes the hassle for the travellers for not missing their food while being stuck at some restaurants in the airports. Passengers have the freedom to either have the ordered food near the boarding gate or they can even carry it to the flight to have it on the move.

Delhi Airport’s FOOD GENIE Service Launched: What Exactly is It?

The Food Genie service has been launched only at Terminal 3 in New Delhi city. Travellers can self-order the food at the kiosks situated in IGI T3 before heading to the boarding gate. The food will be delivered to the passengers at the boarding gate or they can collect it from the nearest pick-up point.

“The food is delivered by delivery personnel on electric scooters at designated pick-up points, for passengers to collect it, in up to 20 minutes. Passengers can enjoy the food at the piers while waiting to board the aircraft, or carry the packed food with them into the plane to have a bite during the journey,” said a release.

Food Genie is Currently Available Only at IGI T3

The IGI T3 is one of the busiest terminals within India as the passengers travel to across the country. The new Food Genie service is currently available only at IGI Terminal 3 and it may be rolled out to other terminals as well in the coming weeks.

Basically, it removes the hassle for the passengers to approach the food court to get the food.
