Mike Tyson allegedly punches another passenger in the face on a JetBlue flight, according to a video that has leaked online. Before Tyson loses his cool, the passenger appears to purposefully aggravate the boxing legend.
According to TMZ, the JetBlue flight was scheduled to depart San Francisco International on a transcontinental route to Florida last night at roughly 22:00, when the incident occurred. A man in the passenger seat behind Tyson can be seen standing over the boxer's head, mocking him. Later, as others try to calm the situation down, Tyson can be seen repeatedly hitting the man in the face.
Tyson's representatives acknowledged that the celebrity was involved in an incident with another passenger on a flight. The following is what a representative said, “Unfortunately, Mr Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.”
Police boarded the plane and apprehended two people suspected of being involved, according to San Francisco officials. One passenger was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene, according to officials. The individual, however, refused to cooperate any further. Both inmates were eventually released following further inquiry.
Other passengers noted on how intoxicated the man who was punched by Tyson was. Tyson is said to have asked him to be quiet before finally snapping.
