Also, to ensure that Air travel is safe, Mumbai Airport will put passengers through thermal screening, and they will have to wear compulsory masks and gloves as safety norms. Apart from this, the Mumbai Airport will direct the passengers to keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from each other and follow social distancing norms. In case if any passenger will show symptoms of Covid-19, they will be taken to the special quarantine facilities developed by Airport.

Social Distancing will be the New Normal

Since no vaccination has been developed to cure Covid-19, the government has advised people to follow social distancing as it is the only method which can stop the spread of the virus. To encourage social distancing in Airport premises, Mumbai Airport has made distinctive markings at the entry gate, check-in counters, food courts, lounge area and the boarding area to minimise physical contact. Apart from this, the Airport will also encourage passengers to check-in from their home or office and use digital payment method across food outlets and retail stores to eliminate physical contact with the person.
