On the RuPay network, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has teamed with Yatra.com and SBI Card to develop a co-branded 'Yatra SBI Card.'
According to the press release, the card offers exclusive travel advantages on purchasing flights and hotels six times a year. Users of this card will receive Yatra.com coupons worth $8,250 as a welcome onboarding gift. The coupon may be used to buy flight tickets, hotel reservations, and other services on Yatra.com, the statement added.
Travellers will get 6 reward points for every $100 spent on department stores, groceries, dining, movies, entertainment, and foreign travel when they use the new card. It also includes a complimentary 50 lakh air accident insurance policy. Customers can also get a 1% fuel fee waiver with the card. According to the press release, if the user spends more than $1 lakh on the card in a year, the yearly charge would be waived.
"This card is one of the most appealing offerings from our broad travel card portfolio, designed to give unrivalled advantages to our consumers. They will be able to access a larger payment network attributable to RuPay's enormous reach, making travelling easier and more convenient” said Rama Mohan Rao Amara, MD & CEO, SBI Card.
"We hope this card will become the perfect travel companion for clients, providing millions of people with a wonderful travel experience," says NPCI's COO, Praveena Rai.
"In the digital world, advantages from financial cards are crucial for customers. Benefits from financial cards need to be diverse and should meet maximum needs for them. Travellers may get welcome gift vouchers, travel incentives, and reward points with the Yatra SBI Card, among other things. Access to fee exemptions, fuel tax waivers, and gratis accident coverage will also be included”, said Manish Amin, co-founder and CIO of Yatra.
