In our earlier story of Pawan Hans, we discussed the importance of Heliports in mountainous terrains. In one such development, the Rampur Heliport’s New Terminal building gets inaugurated on Tuesday. The Rampur Heliport was built at a cost of Rs 3.40 crore and is equipped with modern amenities. The work of three heliports, Shimla, Baddi and Rampur, has been completed.
Rampur Heliport’s New Terminal Building:
Hon'ble CM of Himachal Pradesh inaugurated the newly constructed Terminal Building of Rampur Heliport on Tuesday. Pawan Hans team also briefed Hon'ble CM about further expansion of RCS UDAN by connecting Baddi and Manali. Pawan Hans provides air connectivity from Chandigarh via Shimla to Rampur under RCS UDAN. The heli services on Shimla - Rampur - Shimla route were started in December 2021, and Pawan Hans Helicopters were operating thrice a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The one-way fare per passenger is Rs 3,275.
Pawan Hans Launches Helicopter Services to Almora under RCS UDAN
Pawan Hans has launched services to Almora, Uttarakhand, recently. The Inaugural RCS UDAN Flight of Pawan Hans flagged off from Dehradun to Almora.
This is another step to attract tourists to the unexplored areas of the many beautiful natural destinations in the country.
