SpiceJet Adds 4 International Flights to Muscat and 58 Domestic Flights

The low budget carrier, SpiceJet on Tuesday added a total of 62 new flights for the passengers. Out of the 62 new flights, four flights are international ones and the rest are domestic. The international flights are for Muscat under the air bubble agreement with Oman. SpiceJet will operate international flights to Muscat from Delhi, Ahmedabad, and back. These flights are slated to start from Thursday, i.e, October 22, 2020. SpiceJet also added 58 new domestic flights. Locations include Goa, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai, and more. SpiceJet Adds 62 New Flights, 58 Domestic and 4 International

As per an ET report, SpiceJet has added 58 new domestic flights to its operations. These flights will operate in the following routes — Ahmedabad-Goa-Ahmedabad, Goa-Hyderabad-Goa, Delhi-Kandla-Delhi, Ahmedabad-Kolkata-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Guwahati-Mumbai, Delhi-Durgapur-Delhi, Hyderabad-Mumbai-Hyderabad, Pune-Chennai-Pune, Kochi-Kolkata-Kochi, Mangalore-Delhi-Mangalore, and Madurai-Delhi-Madurai.

SpiceJet said that it will operate all these new flights with the help of Boeing 737s and Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer (COO), SpiceJet said, “As we are slowly returning back to normalcy and there is a continued improvement in demand, we are delighted to launch 62 new flights on our domestic and international network which will provide our customers with multiple travel options.”

One of the key things to take away from the new flights of SpiceJet is that it has become the first airline to launch flights on the ‘Delhi-Kandla-Delhi’ route. Bhatia said that the airline is quite confident to see good levels of demand in all of the new flights and routes that it has added.

With the addition of new flights, SpiceJet is also increasing the frequency of flights on its select routes. It has added more flights on ‘Delhi-Varanasi-Delhi’, ‘Kolkata-Bagdogra-Kolkata’, ‘Bengaluru-Patna’, ‘Delhi-Kolkata-Delhi’, ‘Delhi-Dharamshala-Delhi’, ‘Bengaluru-Kolkata’ routes along with a few other ones as well.
