India’s budget airline, SpiceJet has now introduced an easier way of booking cabs for its passengers. This service will now allow passengers to book cabs while on the flight through SpiceScreen, an in-flight entertainment platform launched by SpiceJet.
The airline announced the launch of this service through a tweet. They tweeted, “Tired of cab bookings always cancelling on you? We have a solution for that. Have your cab ready upon arrival with Mid-Air Cab bookings with #SpiceJet!” Passengers could either go to https://spicejet.com or can download the app.
SpiceJet is looking to initiate this service only for the Delhi airport for now and is planning to expand it to other major cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Goa, and Ahmedabad gradually.
How To Book Your Cab In-flight
The process to book the cabs in-flight is quite easy. Passengers are required to connect to SpiceScreen through their mobile devices and can simply go to the CAB section available on the homepage. The fares for the cabs will be provided on the booking page usually fixed at unit per distance.
If a passenger books a cab, on arrival they will receive an OTP on SMS, WhatsApp, and even an automated inbound call for confirmation.
If passengers book through SpiceScreen they will even receive a 10% discount on the fares. Moreover, there will not be any cancellation fee if a passenger is unable to board the cab in any circumstances.
