According to the information available, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing after noticing high engine vibrations mid-air. The flight landed in Mumbai airport earlier today morning. IndiGo did not reveal the exact passenger count at the time of reporting this article. Also, the flight made a safe landing at the airport and everyone, including the crew are safe. This is not the first time we are seeing an IndiGo flight making an emergency landing, so the situation must be under control by now.

Yet Another IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing

A News18 report says the IndiGo flight took off on Thursday early morning to Jaipur from Pune. It made an emergency landing in Mumbai right after the pilot noticed a glitch in one of the engines. "The IndiGo flight which took off for Jaipur from Pune on Thursday morning was diverted to Mumbai after the pilot reported high engine vibrations in the aircraft mid-air. The flight made an emergency landing early morning," the report added.

It has been a terrible six months for IndiGo as the airline was already ordered to replace all the P&W engines by DGCA. The new emergency landing is also due to a glitch noticed in the engine. IndiGo just confirmed the diversion of flight, but it did not divulge into more details, and there are no details regarding the passenger count as well.

Right now, the aircraft is under inspection at the Mumbai airport and the passengers on board were provided with another aircraft to reach their destination.

IndiGo Gets Deadline Extension for Replacing P&W Engines

In other news, IndiGo was recently provided relief from the DGCA as it gave the airline deadline extension for replacing P&W Engines till May 31. IndiGo will replace 135 engines by the end of May. To recall, IndiGo faced several engine shutdowns last year which forced DGCA to make an order to replace all the engines on A320neos.
