25 Million Visitors Expected to Travel to Dubai for the Expo 2021

Note that when we say Expo 2021, it is actually Expo 2020. The Dubai Expo was initially supposed to take place in October of 2020, but it got cancelled because of the impact of the COVID-19. The event was moved to October 1, 2021, and it will take place until March 31, 2022.

Albanna said that over 25 million visitors are expected to attend the Dubai Expo 2021 which will include the presence of over 46,000 organisations from 180+ countries. UAE is allowing people who are completely vaccinated to enter its borders without any requirements of mandatory quarantine.

Travellers from the countries which are on the ‘green list’ of the UAE won’t even have to undergo a mandatory quarantine. This includes both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. People travelling from the green list will just have to undergo an RT-PCR test on arrival and another one on day 6 from arrival. They can roam freely at the same time if the tests are negative. All the airlines including Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways are expecting a surge in international travel with the new and relaxed quarantine rules kicking in.
