Indian Aviation Sector is Severely Impacted Due to Travel Restrictions
The Indian aviation sector has taken a deep hit due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Since the virus was spreading quickly, the government announced a lockdown period to combat the deadly virus. The domestic aviation operations started from May 25 after a gap of two months. However, all the airlines are facing massive financial distress. All the airlines in India have adopted various measures to reduce financial pressure. The airlines have adopted cost-saving measures like price slash, LWP scheme and firing of employees to reduce the financial pressure and ensure a comfortable and hassle-free journey amid difficult times. As of international operations, it is expected that the operations will start soon once the virus is contained, and the threat is reduced.
