Vistara, India’s finest full-service carrier has confirmed that it will be resuming hot meals service for its domestic economy class passengers. Currently, the economy class passengers were being served pre-packaged snacks since May last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a PTI report, Vistara is resuming hot meals on board because of the improved situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
From Thursday, i.e., October 21, 2021, the airline has resumed service hot meals onboard instead of the pre-packed food.
"For instance, in Economy Class, breakfast options include Masala Uttappam, Medu Vada, Idli with sambar etc; lunch and dinner options include Vegetable Biryani with Dal Makhani, Jeera Pulao with Chana Masala, and more; Masala Pao with Bhaji, Hot Garlic Vegetables with Noodles, etc. will be served as snacks on relevant flights," the statement from the airline read.
Vistara has noted through a survey that more passengers feel comfortable having hot meals on their flights now.
