Etihad Airways, one of the largest airlines in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has recently upgraded its ‘Verified to Fly’ service for customers. It is an innovative service given the current circumstances (pandemic) of travelling around the world. Etihad has upgraded the service and has made it more “streamlined and personalised” for the customers through its website.

The airline said that this upgrade would make the process of travelling easier for the passengers/customers. The ‘Verified to Fly’ service will ensure that customers have all the required COVID-19 related documents before they head out to the airport. Seven days ahead of the travel, Etihad Airways will shoot an email to the customers intimating them about the documents that will be required for reaching their destination.

Etihad Airways Passengers Can Upload Documents Directly On Website

Etihad Airways said that passengers could directly upload their documents directly on the ‘Manage My Booking’ section of the website up to 72 hours before the departure of the airline.

Etihad said, “The new website functionality replaces the email upload system which was launched by the airline in May 2021. The new upload process guides travellers through the process of uploading and shows the specific documents needed to get verified for their chosen destination.”

The airline will send the customers an email confirming the status of their documents a short while after they have uploaded them. Further, customers can also log in to their account from the airline’s website anytime they want to check the status of their document submission. This will result in a much better journey experience for the customers since they will have peace of mind for submitting their travel documents.

“Etihad requires 100% of its passengers to show a negative PCR test to protect the inflight environment, which is now recognised to be one of the best in the world,” Etihad further said. The service is already upgraded and is live on the website of the airline.
