India’s number one low-cost airline, IndiGo has recently announced new meals for the upcoming holiday season. It is typical of IndiGo to announce new special meals as soon as a festival or a holiday season arrives for the passengers. Just last month, during Navratri, the airline was offering passengers special Navratri meals. Now, since Christmas is approaching, IndiGo has announced three new special meals for its menu. The new meals are available for every passenger of the airline regardless of where they are flying from or flying to within India or outside India. More details on the story ahead.
IndiGo Christmas Meals
As mentioned above, the low-cost carrier has announced three new special meals for this Christmas. The three new meals include ‘Vegetable Pie with Plum Cake’, ‘Chicken Pie with Plum Cake’, and ‘Plum Cake’.
So there are two vegetarian dishes and one non-vegetarian dish. The Vegetable Pie with Plum Cake is priced Rs 450 or $6, the Chicken Pie with Plum Cake is also priced Rs 450 or $6, and the Plum Cake is priced Rs 200 or $3 for the passengers.
Note that the airline offers special meals on its menu to the passengers for a limited period only. The Christmas special meals by IndiGo are no exception to this rule. Passengers travelling between the period December 20, 2020, and January 19, 2021, will only be able to get these dishes while on the aircraft.
These meals are already open for pre-booking from December 5, 2020. The airline is also offering its passengers the option to pre-book their meals instead of purchasing them on the spot to get up to 15% discount.
A thing worth noting here is that IndiGo has slowly brought the older food items of its menu back to its offerings. Thus along with these Christmas special meals, passengers of the airline can also pre-book multiple food items through the website or the app of the airline. There are also 6E Bar services available for passengers who wish to indulge on some of the finest alcohol they can get from a low-cost airline.
