IndiGo COO Reminded Employees of Their Great Work
IndiGo, like every other airline, was asked to shut down its commercial operations on March 24, 2020, and park all its planes before midnight. The COO of IndiGo, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, reminded the employees of the great work which they did right before the lockdown was imposed. IndiGo carried out 850 flights on that day and flew 1,20,000 passengers to their preferred destinations. The airline is solid with finance and doesn’t have to worry about a shortage of cash for the next few months. This is why they can easily plan what they have to do once the flight operations resume.
IndiGo New Flight Rules Are Coming
IndiGo is making a blueprint on how they are going to conduct their flights. The airline is ready and expecting stringent regulations so that they can prepare for it accordingly. IndiGo has already decided that they are not going to serve any onboard meals and the passenger buses will also be only filled to half of its capacity. All of this is being done by keeping in mind the principle of social distancing. New rules for frequent cleaning and preparation of crew and staff by providing e-learning courses have already been conveyed to the employees of the airline.
