One of the biggest initiatives from the hotel chain is the ban of single-use plastics. This programme has been running for the last 5 years.

Rishi Mattu, General Manager of ITC Rajputana said, “With ‘Responsible Luxury’ as its guiding premise, ITC Hotels is committed to delivering luxury experiences with sustainable practices embedded in the process - an endeavour which has manifested in the coveted LEED Platinum rating for all its luxury hotels making ITC Hotels amongst the ‘Greenest’ luxury hotel chains in the world. ITC Rajputana is the first and only LEED Platinum certified hotel in Rajasthan with the highest score in the existing building category. Fashioned and built along the lines of a "Haveli", the hotel has an understated grandeur emanating from the Dholpur stone used extensively across the hotel to reduce the heating load and accompany traditional architecture which is the perfect blend of modern technology and elegant design with International Green practices.”

He further said that ITC Rajputana was awarded the ‘Best Eco-Friendly Hotel’ by the Ministry of Tourism back in 2019. The Platinum rating which ITC Rajputana has is the highest amongst Gold and Silver.
