Passenger Traffic at Tiruchi Airport Reached 80-90% of the Pre-COVID Days by December 2021, Says Airport Official

The Tiruchi international airport handled over 3.3 lakh international passengers and more than 1.5 lakh domestic passengers during 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, says the airport’s officiating airport director J. Unnikrishnan. It had operated more than 1,000 flights to one destination, Singapore, in 2021, which is a milestone that no other airport can claim. IndiGo to Launch Tiruchi – Tirupati Flights From January 18

IndiGo airline will launch services from Tiruchi with Tirupati from January 18. On four days a week -- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays -- the budget carrier IndiGo will fly an ATR aircraft with 72 seats on the Tiruchi-Tirupati route.
