AAI to Collaborate With Sweden for Facilitating Smart and Sustainable Aviation Technologies

As we continue discussing the developments in the aviation sector, so much progress is already happening in the aviation industry. Recently we explored how AAI as a part of its Green Initiatives is upgrading all its airports with solar. In another advancement, AAI signs an MoU with Sweden to facilitate smart and sustainable aviation technology collaboration.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) and LFV Air Navigation Services of Sweden (LUFTFARTSVERKET) signed a Memorandum of Understanding today at the Corporate Headquarters of AAI in New Delhi.

Brings two Government Air Navigation Service Providers Together:

This agreement brings two air navigation service providers, India and Sweden, with demonstrated capabilities in building and operationalizing the next generation of sustainable aviation technologies to explore smart aviation solutions. This MoU facilitates bi-lateral exchange of aviation expertise and technology between India and Sweden.

Also, Indian companies can accelerate growth while leveraging Swedish innovation and expertise. With the signing of this MoU, Companies can collaborate in areas of mutual interest.

Both parties consented to the following elements of the MoU:

  1. Exchange of aviation knowledge and technical transfer program
  2. Promote close and friendly relations between the two agencies
  3. Aim to expand technical co-operation in airports
  4. Support the development of a safe, secure, sustainable, and efficient aviation sector
  5. Positive contributions in promoting bilateral and international trade

Co-operation areas:

AAI and LFV, both Government agencies of India and Sweden respectively, will jointly collaborate on the following ten co-operation areas:

A Joint Working Group shall be organized to prioritize interest areas and drive collaboration between the two countries. This MoU will play a crucial role in furthering government-to-government engagements between India and Sweden in the Aviation sector.
