The decision has been announced by Emirates to offer flexibility to its customers in the travel restriction period. Emirates Skywards can be redeemed up to 11 Months in Advance
Emirates Skywards has extended the validity of the loyalty programme and stated that customers can avail the benefits of loyalty point until December 31, 2020. Not only this, but Emirates will also give its subscribers the option to redeem miles up to 11 months in advance. The points earned by customers can be further used in flight tickets on Emirates and Partner Airlines, Hotel Stays, Flight Upgrades and many more. On occasion, Dr Nejib Ben Khedher who is the divisional senior vice president of Emirates Skywards stated that Emirates skywards is analysing the situation and making sure that Skyward members are not worried about their status and validity of their Miles. To reassure them, Emirates Skyward has extended the validity of the programme.
Emirates Skywards Membership Status Details
Emirates have marked that Silver, Gold and Platinum Members of Emirates Skywards who have a tier review date before March 1, 2021, will retain the current status with 80 per cent travel requirements which means that Silver, Gold and Platinum Members will have to earn 20,000 points, 40,000 points and 1,20,000 points respectively. On the other hand, the members who are not able to retain their status falling between March and September 2020 will get their status extended automatically until December 31, 2020. Also, Emirates Skywards has marked that the changes will not be shown immediately in the account of members. So, they have to patient to see the changes.
