India is now allowing quarantine free entry to passengers from 99 countries across the globe. These countries include names such as the UK, the US, Germany, France, Netherlands, Russia, and Australia. Travellers from all these countries listed in the ‘A’ category will have to submit a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha Portal before the start of their scheduled travel. They will of course also have to submit a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test report.
According to a Mathrubhumi report, passengers will have to submit a declaration with respect to the authenticity of the report. If the report is tampered with or false, it can attract criminal prosecution. Passengers coming from these countries are just advised to self-monitor for 14 days and need not go under mandatory home quarantine.
