IndiGo Upgrades Aircraft to Airbus A320 on the Delhi Gwalior Route

IndiGo, India's leading carrier, is expanding its Domestic as well as International Network. As the demand for air travel increases, so as the need to cater for the growing passenger traffic. The airline has recently announced a second daily flight between Bangalore and Belagavi and now there is an aircraft upgrade on Delhi - Gwalior route. Read to know more details.

IndiGo Upgrades Aircraft on Delhi Gwalior Route:

With its vision to further strengthen domestic connectivity, IndiGo, today announced the upgradation of aircraft from ATR to Airbus on Delhi- Gwalior route, starting from September 8, 2022. The upgraded aircraft was inaugurated today at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Terminal, Gwalior Airport.

The ceremony at the airport was graced by the dignitaries from the Government of Madhya Pradesh including Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Minister of Energy, Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Hon’ble Minister of Water Resources and Fisheries, Smt. Imarti Devi, Hon’ble Minister of Women and Child Development, Shri Bharat Singh Kushwah, Hon’ble Minister of Horticulture and Food Processing and Shri Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament - Lok Sabha, amongst others.

Flight 6E 2132 will depart Delhi at 14:00 and arrives in Gwalior at 15:10 with a travel duration of 70m. Flight 6E 2149 will depart Gwalior at 15:40 and arrives in Delhi at 16:30 with a travel duration of 50m. This route is now operated by an Airbus A320.

IndiGo Bolsters Connectivity Between India and Middle East With 6 New Flights

To strengthen its international connectivity, IndiGo has announced a new daily direct flight from Hyderabad - Riyadh along with additional frequencies on Hyderabad - Doha and Mangalore - Dubai routes. This new route and additional frequencies will enhance connectivity between India and Middle East.
