Star Air has launched a new regional destination, Bidar, from Bengaluru, in order to improve regional connectivity in Karnataka. The nonstop flight commenced operations on Wednesday and will be the airline's 18th destination.

Star Air is happy to have the distinction of transporting customers to the 'City of Whispering Monuments,' despite the fact that there are only a few flights to the architectural and religious city of Bidar.

Bidar has evolved into a junction of urban growth and cultural legacy, known for its Bidri handicrafts, rich history, and religious significance to the Sikh population. Star Air's Embraer 145 planes will now fly to the calm and scenic highlands of Bidar, making it the ideal place for a vacation trip.

Flights to the new location would not only increase tourism but also promote the city's socio-economic progress, as air connectivity is both an economic enabler and an employment growth engine.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, Star Air will fly between Bidar and Bengaluru four times a week. The flight schedule has been designed to provide travellers with the most cost-effective options available under the popular UDAN system. In comparison to other forms of transportation, the aircraft service between Bengaluru and Bidar covers the 520km route in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Visitors can also go to Kalaburagi, Nanded, Nizamabad, and Hyderabad, which are all near to Bidar.
