Star Air, the regional airline that prides itself on Connecting Real India, has signed a lease for two more Embraer E175 passenger jets with Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), the largest Regional Aircraft Lessor in the world, in December 2022. These two aircraft are in addition to the two Embraer E175 jet orders signed at the Farnborough International Airshow, UK, in August 2022. Overall, Star Air is adding a total of 4 aircraft to its fleet.
Star Air has announced the arrival of its first of four Embraer E175LR aircraft at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore. This latest addition to the Star Air fleet is part of the airline's ongoing efforts to improve regional connectivity and provide greater accessibility to underserved areas.
Expressing his excitement about the arrival of the New E175, Shrenik Ghodawat, Director of Star Air, said, "We are thrilled to welcome the latest addition to our fleet. Our ongoing efforts to establish a fleet of Embraer aircraft have enabled us to provide our customers with an enhanced travel experience. The new E175 will help us achieve greater productivity, higher utilization, and ultimately, better connectivity to real India."
Embraer E175 is Known for its Performance
The Embraer E175, powered by GE CF34-8E engines, is renowned for its reliability and performance in the regional jet category. With a range of 2,200 nautical miles, this aircraft enables Star Air to offer its passengers faster, smoother, and more comfortable flights. In addition, the E175's dual-class cabin configuration, with no middle seats, ensures superior legroom, providing passengers with a best-in-class experience.
The arrival of this new aircraft at Bangalore marks a significant milestone for Star Air as it expands its regional footprint and enhances connectivity across India. With the addition of this new aircraft to its fleet, Star Air can address the need for more capacity and improve the overall customer experience.
Star Air recently shifted its operations to the new and swanky Terminal 2 (T2) of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (KIAB/BLR Airport), becoming the first airline to operate out of this Terminal (from January 15, 2023) after its recent inauguration by the Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi.
