Vistara Announces Its 4th International Destination With Mumbai-Colombo Route

India’s full-service airline, Vistara has set new standards in the aviation industry in India. The airline operates in 34 destinations, flies more than 200 flights a day with a fleet of 23 Airbus A320s and 9 Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, and has already flown more than 18 million customers since starting operations. Today the airline has announced Colombo as its 4th international destination in their rapidly growing operations. As part of the announcement, Vistara will provide direct services from Mumbai to Colombo, Srilanka (except Wednesdays) and the services will start from November 25, 2019.

Vistara Becomes First Airline to Bring Premium Economy Class on India-Sri Lanka route

To give a premium experience to the passengers, Vistara will fly The Airbus A320neo aircraft which has three-class cabin configuration between Mumbai and Colombo, which will allow the passengers to travel in the premium economy class apart from economy and business class. Also, passengers will get to choose the one-stop connections to or from other cities as well

On the announcement of these new flights, Vistara CEO Leslie Thng said “Sri Lanka has been a very promising destination for Vistara, considering the growth it continues to offer in trade and tourism, especially as India is the largest tourism source market for Sri Lanka. As we announce India’s only five-star airline on the India-Sri Lanka route, we are confident that our entry will further fuel the travel appetite among people.”

To experience the premium economy class in the India-Sri Lanka route passengers have to book their flights to and from Colombo from any channel like Vistara’s iOS and Android mobile apps, or through Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and travel agents including Vistara’s website www.airvistara.com.
