Recently, Air India has announced the launch of a direct flight between Pune and Ahmedabad, which will start from August 20, 2022. This new direct flight can assist in catering the demand of having easy air connectivity between both the smart cities. The addition of this new air route can help out the smart cities and their flourishing educational and commercial hubs.

The departure timing of the Air India Flight AI 0481 from Ahmedabad Airport would be at 10:45 am, and the Arrival timing of the same at the Pune Airport would be at 12:10 pm. The Air India Flight AI 0482 will take off at 12:40 pm from the Pune Airport and will land at 2:15 pm at the Ahmedabad Airport. It would take around 85 to 95 minutes approximately for people to travel to both these cities via this new air route.
The initiation of this new air route between both these smart cities became achievable because of the renewal of Air India's Aircraft that continued to be grounded for a long time because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Not long ago, the MD and CEO of Air India, Campbell Wilson expressed his excitement regarding the launch of this new flight between Pune and Ahmedabad, which would work as the key growth centres in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The addition of this new domestic air route between both these smart cities by Air India would help customers in reaching various travel options while encouraging and contributing to the company's domestic connectivity.
While this flight is yet to be launched, Air India has already started working on new domestic air routes between the other cities as soon as more aircraft of the company returns to service. This initiative can help people travel with more options on their list, by the end of the year.
