Emirates Airline and Group Chairman and CEO, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, stated: "Emirates is investing in new freighters in order to continue serving customer demand with the most fuel-efficient aircraft available. This order reflects Emirates' confidence in air freight demand and the overall growth of the aviation industry. It lays the groundwork for our continued expansion, which will be driven by the reach of our diverse global network, the advanced handling infrastructure at our Dubai hub, and the tailored transport solutions developed by Emirates to meet the needs of our diverse customers."
Emirates SkyCargo
Emirates SkyCargo is a cargo airline headquartered in Dubai, UAE. It is the world's fourth largest cargo airline in terms of total freight tonne-kilometres flown and international freight tonne-kilometres flown as of 2020.
Emirates SkyCargo will operate the aircraft, which will be added to its fleet of 11 777 Freighters. Emirates announced a $1 billion investment to expand its air cargo capacity at the Dubai Airshow last November, including two new 777 Freighters that joined the Emirates fleet this year.
777 Freighter
Emirates can transport time and temperature sensitive shipments from origin to destination using the 777-F's range and payload capabilities, whether they are time critical goods, fresh products, medicines, pets, cars, or champion racehorses.
The Boeing 777 Freighter (777F), which entered service earlier this year, improves efficiency for long-distance operators while also providing advanced features of the 777 family. The 777F is an efficient, long-range, high-capacity freighter designed to meet the needs of cargo operators around the world.
Emirates was the launch customer for the Boeing 777 freighter and is now the world's largest operator of the 777 family, with nearly 150 of the planes in its fleet. The 777F, Boeing's best-selling freighter, is the world's largest, longest-range, and most capable twin-engine freighter flying today, with 17% less fuel use and CO2 emissions than previous planes.

"We appreciate the confidence that Emirates has repeatedly placed in its all-Boeing freighter fleet," said Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "The addition of these additional fuel-efficient 777 Freighters to Emirates' fleet will allow the airline to support its growing cargo market demand, transporting goods quickly and efficiently from origin to destination in the Middle East and around the world."
