Vistara Flight Policies Post Lockdown: Everything to Know

Web Stories

Vistara is considered as one of the most premium airlines of India. It provides one of the best flight experience when domestic travel is concerned. Now, the airline has also made some changes in the way they operate. On Thursday, Vistara said that they are looking to minimise human contact on board and in the airport by up to 80%. This is so that both travellers and airline crew are safe. The new changes are in order because people need to feel safe once they start flying again after the lockdown ends. Every other airline and airports are going with such modifications as well. IndiGo has said that they would stop their in-flight meals totally for a temporary period.

Changes That You are Going To Witness With Vistara

Vistara will not be offering as many meal choices as it did on its economy and premium economy class. The airline has also withdrawn on its services like offering welcome drinks, hot beverages, and some meals. Along with this, the business class and premium economy class of the airline will not serve the Turkish towels and Starbucks coffee anymore. Now instead of pouring water on cups will be replaced by 200ml sealed water bottles. Cold beverages would, however, be offered to the customers in the economy and premium economy.

Vistara To Resume Services From June

The airline is offering airline bookings along with airlines such as IndiGo from June 1. The decision to take bookings comes after the government's order not to take any new bookings. So it is likely that these new changes would be visible from June in the Vistara flights. The airline has also said that customers who board a plane from the airline will go under a thermal screening. This will also be done when they exit the airport. If anyone shows any signs of infection, they won’t be allowed to board the aircraft. The cabin crew is also going to be wearing personal protective gears (PPE) to keep themselves and the passengers safe.
