For bookings booked till June 30, 2022, AirAsia India is offering a 50% discount on its International Connecting Baggage (ICB) fees.
Because international flights typically have higher baggage allowances than domestic flights, International Connecting Baggage fares are significantly lower than standard excess baggage charges, allowing guests to connect from or to AirAsia India domestic flights to international flights on other airlines.
Guests can pre-book ICB and select from three excess baggage slab options: 8 kgs, 15 kgs, or 30 kgs, which correspond to the most common international baggage allowances of major international airlines. In addition to the 15 kg complimentary check-in luggage allowance on normal prices, these can be pre-booked.
Flyers connecting to or from foreign flights on AirAsia domestic flights can now pre-book their excess baggage at a reduced rate of Rs 100 per kg, compared to the regular excess baggage charges of Rs 450 per kg for pre-booking excess baggage and Rs 500 per kg at the airport.
Students flying internationally can now take additional baggage beyond 25 kgs at cheaper rates thanks to AirAsia India's special discounts and 25 kg standard baggage allowance.
ICB fees can be pre-booked up to 2 hours ahead to the departure of an AirAsia domestic flight on airasia.co.in whether booking, managing their booking, or checking-in.
Guests will be required to present their international flight boarding pass when checking in for an overseas flight within 24 hours of their AirAsia India trip.
