People need connectivity, regardless of wherever they are. Inside the aircraft, passengers are advised not to keep their smartphones switched on because it interferes with the navigation system. Thus, a Wi-Fi service inside the aircraft is something that a lot of people want. Now, a satellite communications company, Starlink might fulfil this wish of the passengers soon. As per Reuters, Elon Musk had tweeted on Thursday that Starlink is “talking” with the airlines about installing hardware on the aircraft to provide connectivity services.
Musk did not reveal the names of the airlines the SpaceX owned company is talking with. Rest assured, it would be a very useful service for the consumers as Starlink can provide high-speed internet inside the aircraft. But the cost of consuming data inside an airplane will always be going to be burning the pockets of the customers.
