To make the travel experience even burden less for a common man, SpiceJet has decided to bring an EMI scheme for its flight tickets. Passengers will now have the option of paying the price of the flight ticket in three, six, and twelve months.

"As part of the launch offer, customers will be able to enjoy three months EMI option at no additional cost (no interest)," the airline said in a press release.

However, not anyone can just walk in and claim the EMI scheme for his/her flight ticket. Customers will have to provide the airline with details such as PAN Card number, Aadhar Card number, and also complete verification with the help of a One-Time Password (OTP).

Customers will also have to provide their UPI ID to the airline and it will notably deduct the first instalment. All the future instalments will be deducted from the same UPI ID as well. This means that the passengers don’t need to avail credit or debit cards to get the benefits of the EMI scheme.
