Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of the State of Kuwait, has announced 17 new routes for this summer, taking its network to a total of 57 destinations.
“Kuwait Airways is pleased to announce the operation of 17 new destinations to link Kuwait to the world, which comes within the framework of the airline’s preparations for the summer season that will witness a remarkable recovery in the movement of travel around the world,” commented Engineer Maen Razouqi, Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Airways.
Kuwait Airways has launched services to Manchester, a city in northwestern England. The airline will operate flights thrice a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, to the destination from May 1. The newly announced Kuwait-Manchester flights will depart from Kuwait International airport at 06.20 (Kuwait local time) and arrive at the Manchester airport at 11.45 (local time). The return flight from Manchester to Kuwait will leave the UK at 12.45 and arrive in Kuwait at 21.35.
Kuwait Airways will operate the airline’s Airbus A320 neo aircraft on the route. The plane will have 122 seats in economy and 12 in business class. There are no direct, non-stop flight services between Manchester and Kuwait City now. Instead, Kuwait Airways and British Airways operate services between London Heathrow airport and Kuwait International airport.

Besides the flights to Manchester, Kuwait Airways has also confirmed launching operations to Sharm El Sheikh, Malaga, Nice, Moscow, Alexandria, Sarajevo, Salalah, Sohag, Kathmandu, Vienna, Mykonos, Madrid, Bodrum, Kuala Lumpur, Trabzon and Casablanca.
Based on the list of routes chosen by Kuwait Airways, it is evident that the airline has made it a mix of destinations. “This is in addition to the fact that Kuwait Airways has selected a variety of destinations that are among the most important that the airline focuses on, due to its high demand for it by our customers of all segments, whether with the intentions of tourism, business or education,” CEO of Kuwait Airways added.
“This is also part of Kuwait Airways’ tireless efforts to provide passengers on its aircraft with more direct options to meet their travel requirements and to provide them better services by launching new destinations and various services,” he said.
